Early May is a risky time for photography in the state of Colorado.  Strong winds and dark clouds are the harbinger of afternoon thunderstorms, especially in the foothills of Colorado.  Our afternoon with Lesley and RJ was a glorious exception, as we were greeted with filtered sunlight, green grass, cool breezes, and a fresh blue sky as our backdrop for our featured spring engagement session located in the Colorado foothills close to historic Red Rocks Park.

Lesley Johnson and RJ Colwell have known each other for some time, but more recently they have decided to start a life together in Colorado.  They are elated with each other’s shared future and this is quite evident as they were some of the best natural smilers that we have worked with.  Adam and I found them to be kind, endearing, and an absolute delight to photograph and we certainly look forward to their wedding day at Keystone Ranch, August 9th!
